Introduction

These Crispy Baked Sweet Potato Fries are a must-try vegan snack — crispy on the outside, soft inside, and naturally sweet. They’re a healthier alternative to regular fries, loaded with fiber, vitamins, and slow-digesting carbs that help you stay full longer.

Pair them with homemade vegan mayo or hummus, and you’ve got a snack that’s trending on every plant-based food blog right now.

Ingredients

  • 2 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into fries

  • 1½ tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (for extra crispiness)

  • 1/2 tsp paprika

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • Fresh herbs (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F).

  2. Soak sweet potato fries in cold water for 20 minutes to remove excess starch. Pat them dry.

  3. Toss fries in a bowl with cornstarch, then add olive oil and seasonings.

  4. Spread evenly on a baking tray lined with parchment paper (avoid crowding).

  5. Bake for 25 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden brown.

  6. Serve hot with your favorite vegan dip or hummus.
